We're Jennifer and Niamh Fitzgerald, sisters and co-founders of Acorn Kids Audio. We LOVE stories. We write them, produce them, listen to them and most importantly are driven to share them with the world. We're your modern storytellers really! When we're not in the studio, we're trawling bookshops, hitting up poetry slams, chasing waves and challenging everyone in our path to a game of scrabble!​​​

​​Jennifer Fitzgerald - Creative Director & Content Lead
Jennifer started her early career as an Audio Production Executive at BBC Audiobooks where she also trained as a Voice Producer/Director. Since then, she has gone on to work on projects such as the foreign language digital versions of the Harry Potter books Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts with Pottermore Publishing. She has also recently completed an inspiring stories collection with Yoto for kids and has recorded for the Rebel Girls podcast. She has produced hundreds of audiobooks for publishers such as Harper Audio, Bolinda, BBC, Hachette and Audible. She holds a BA Hons Degree in English Literature & Drama Studies and a distinction in Radio Programme Production. Jennifer is also an established Earphones award winning voiceover artist for Exceptional Audio and a 3 x One Voice nominee.​​
​​Niamh Fitzgerald - Writer & Producer
Niamh is an Educator, Storyteller and Literary Expert with a Masters Degree in Creative Writing. She has worked in creative production with Mononglo and as a freelance writer, editor & proofreader. She also has years of experience working within a resource base in a London school for children with DLD (Developmental Language Disorder). She has a passion for teaching children through reading, interactive speaking, listening and writing. This is where her love of crafting children's stories developed, finding the perfect blend at the intersection of education and creativity. Niamh's goal is to bring stories to more younger audiences and communities and to open up the world to children with special educational needs. ​​
